What’s this blog for? So I can have a place separate from my political and literary grumping to post things I can share with family and friends.
So, it’s work-safe, then. Well, I swear a lot.
Who are you? Ande. I’m a 39-year old writer and editor who has a husband, a girlfriend, a kid, two dogs, a mouse, and a penchant for crafting. I used to have a bike BUT SOMEONE STOLE IT.
What do you write? Novels, short stories, and screenplays. Lately, I write a lot of romances. I like romances. Specifically, I write queer romances, sometimes with erotic scenes. It’s fun.
What do you edit? I’m a freelance editor most of the time. I edit a line of short stories for a small e-press as well. If you’re interested in editing services, please email me at gmail.com.
What kind of crafting? I knit, crochet, and sew. I’m learning to spin and weave. I also am an excellent cook.
Didn’t you used to have another name? My given name had the initials C.M.L. My new legal name is M. Ande Corryn.
Well, um. Why? Personal reasons; namely I was named after someone who did a lot of damage in my life, and my school experience was such shit that I never could hear my first name without cringing by the time I was in high school. Hearing it was never any good.
What does your name mean? That’s personal. But I will say that my last name is Welsh for spider.
Do you have any nicknames? SO MANY. A, An, Anchan, Anpan, Ananda, Coco (if you are not my mom, I reserve the right to smite you), Corrie, Em, Mac (my initials are MAC), Mae (as in MA), Manhattan, Marie, Mattie, Rin, Rinny, V, Virago, Webster (ah, grade three kids are so creative).
